Which vehicles are you authorized to drive?

 

Vehicle Age

Motorcycles with or without sidecar, with an engine capacity exceeding 50 cc and a maximum speed exceeding 45 km/h without any limitation. 24 years old or 20 years old, but have held an A2 driving licence for at least two years

Tricycles with power exceeding 15 kW 24 years old or 20 years old, but have held an A2 driving licence for at least two years

How to achieve it with an exam

 

Submit an application to the competent Civil Motorization office (UMC)

Take a theory test within 6 months of submitting your application.

Take a practical test, which can be taken one month after the date of issue of the driving license. The test can be retaken only once.

How to get it without an exam

 

Gradual access without an exam is available after attending a specific training course at a driving school. The candidate must have held an A2 license for at least two years .

a power-to-weight ratio not exceeding 0.1 kW/kg.

To be ridden, the motorcycle

must comply with all three limits. 16 years old

Mopeds :

2 and 3-wheeled vehicles, with a maximum speed not exceeding 45 km/h, engine capacity not exceeding 50 cc and maximum power not exceeding 4 kW

 

 

14 years old (only in Italy and without a passenger)

 

Light quadricycles:

4-wheel vehicles whose unladen mass is less than or equal to 350 kg, excluding the mass of the batteries for electric vehicles, with a maximum speed not exceeding 45 km/h and whose engine displacement is less than or equal to 50 cm³ for spark-ignition engines; or whose maximum net power is less than or equal to 4 kW for other internal combustion engines; or whose maximum continuous rated power is less than or equal to 4 kW for electric motors
